Where to Start as a Cosmetic Creator

Advice for people looking to start making home, bath and body products

If you’ve been eyeing up our Soakies cosmetic creations on our social media channels, we know that you’ve probably thought about how you could make them for yourself.

Our Facebook Support Group is the best place for you to be to discover the details on how to make the specific product you’d like to start with. The group is teaming with how-to videos, Soakie advice and top tips from people who have made them before.

However, before you purchase your first assessment, keep reading to discover our customers’ advice on where to start if you’re interested in becoming a cosmetic creator.

  • Start slowly, do plenty of testing and keep everything documented.
  • Do lots and lots of research and practice, practice, practice. Keep going even when you think you can’t, it does get easier and bath bombs will make you cry.
  • Just go for it! I know it can be scary starting off and always worrying about what if you’re not good enough etc you will find confidence in yourself that you never knew you had. Allow yourself to be as creative as possible. Don’t worry about anyone else out there. Focus on you and your vision because watching it come to life is the best thing.
  • Have lots of patience and practice but mostly have fun with it and enjoy what you’re doing.
  • Do some research before you decide exactly what you want to do. Soak Rochford has kits available to buy so that you can play around and be creative before you decide if it’s something you want to definitely do.
  • Do your research on the product first and understand everything you need to do on the legal side and how to produce good quality products.
