Bring another level of excitement to your creative process with these top tips
Unfortunately, it’s clear that funds are tight for everyone at this time of year. This means that even if you do have your heart set on a new assessment, this might have to be put on the back burner for a little while.
But we know how important it is for Soakies to stay motivated as this passion is reflected in the quality of your makes. So, here’s our best advice on how you can spice up the assessments you currently have to get that excitement back!

Get Creative With Your Packaging
If packaging your final products has started to feel a bit monotonous, it might be time for you to look at your packaging. With so much competition out there, it’s crucial that the external aesthetics of your creations reflect the skill, time and energy that has gone into them.
This change might be as simple as jumping on Canva and giving your logo an exciting refresh. It might be renaming your products to something quirky and fun. You could make the designs on your labels brighter and more eye-catching. You could even go all out and try something new and really out of the box.
Here is one of our favourites we’ve seen this October:

Experiment With Tools
Of course, grand airbrushes and electric mixers are always going to be consistently coaxing Soakies to the checkout… Although these tools can be extremely beneficial to have, sometimes the investment just can’t be justified.
But, new tools don’t have to be expensive. Our famous Pokey Stick is only £2 and it can be used to easily dot eyes on animal designs and create beautiful swirls and unique patterns in soap, wax and bath bombs.
It’s multi-purpose, so it can also be used for scooping dyes, incorporating oils and fragrances and tapping stubborn creations out of their moulds.
Say goodbye to disposable wooden skewers and hello to your new best friend – the Pokey Stick!
Don’t Be Afraid to Try New Things
One of the most exciting things about being a Soakie is the freedom to experiment and let your imagination run wild!
With that in mind, allow your inner child to be released and try new things. Don’t be scared of failing and making mistakes because that’s how you learn. Although some of these random creations won’t make it to your website, some of them might and your customers will be so excited to discover your new products.
Rather than sitting to try and come up with something new, give yourself time to back away from your business for a second. Inspiration comes from the most random places, so don’t try to force it otherwise you’ll just end up frustrated.
