Technology that Replaces Manual Labour

Save your time and energy with these smart purchases

When first starting out, it can be difficult to differentiate between an impulse purchase and one that is actually going to make a difference to your daily routine.

The main purpose of introducing technology to your workflow is to work smarter, not harder. So bear that in mind when you’re looking into new products. If they look like they’re going to cause you more aggravation than they will alleviate, leave them on the shelf!

Here are three pieces of technology that our Soakies consistently rave about:

Dehumidifier

Because the weather in the UK is notorious for being inconsistent, it can be tricky to manipulate your creative space into being an environment where your products can thrive in.

If you’re making bath bombs, the best humidity percentage is between 35-40%. At this level, the humidity is not high enough to cause crumbling issues but it’s not low enough for your bombs to crack when drying.

To ensure that your workspace is always below 40%, purchase a home dehumidifier. Consider getting one that states it will work for a room that is approximately 25% larger than the one you will be using. This means that it won’t always be working at maximum capacity and should therefore last longer.

Mixer

After a few attempts of stirring your whipped soap or bath bomb mixture, your aching biceps are going to beg you to invest in an electric mixer.

There are so many options for you to choose from, so it’s definitely worth shopping around first to make sure you’re purchasing the one that’s right for you.

In our Soak Rochford Support Group on Facebook, there are plenty of topics surrounding this discussion so you can take a look at those and see which recommendation is most relevant to you.

Airbrush

If you follow us on social media, you’ll have seen the incredibly talented designs that our Soakies create. Many of the bath bombs you see that have beautiful gradients have been created with an airbrush.

Not only does an airbrush allow you to create an ombre effect with your colours, but it also allows you to cover a lot of ground faster.

As is with a lot of things, you get what you pay for, but don’t be fooled by a high price tag. As with above, search our Facebook Support Group to discover our customers’ best advice.
