We’ve learned from experience… Here’s our best advice
Creating a work/life balance is something that is an ongoing battle for most of us. Without it, you’ll find yourself constantly feeling guilty about prioritising one more than the other.
So, here are our top tips on how you can create a work/life balance.

Have Set Working Hours
Establishing specific working hours and sticking to them will prevent work from spilling into your personal time. This will also provide your day with much more structure, therefore alleviating any anxiety that comes with not knowing how long you’re going to be working.
Set your email to send out automated responses outside of these hours so that you don’t feel guilty about ignoring current or potential clients. You can relax knowing that your boundaries have been set and that you don’t need to be available 100% of the time.
Find Things You Can Do with Family
If you’re so busy you just don’t have time to stop, get the family involved in your business! Not only do many hands make light work, but it also gives you the opportunity to spend time with loved ones while also ticking jobs off your to-do list.
Another tip: Only dish out the jobs you feel comfortable with sharing such as packaging products or printing labels to not add any extra stress!
Have Things to Look Forward to
If you feel like life has been all work and no play lately, find something fun to put in your calendar. Whether it’s bottomless brunch with the girls, Alton Towers with the family or a spa day with mum, it’s always motivating to know you’re going to get a well-deserved break.
Manage Your Time Effectively
If you know that your downfall is that you get easily distracted and therefore you’re always losing track of time, make that a priority for sorting out. Either try writing out your job list for a day in a notebook, try time-blocking or even use a programme such as Harvest if you prefer a visual aid.
Schedule Regular Breaks Throughout the Day
Take some time for yourself every couple of hours to recharge your batteries. Try and find something wholesome and refreshing that gives you an energy boost such as yoga or meditation.
If you do accidentally fall down a TikTok wormhole, we won’t judge…
