3 Ways You Can Prepare for 2023

Get ahead of the game with these top tips

For some people, the start of a new year doesn’t mean anything more than having to use a new dairy. However, for others (like us) a new year is the chance to start thinking about future growth and opportunities.

For all small business owners, we would definitely recommend taking advantage of the fresh start a new year brings. It allows you to take a look at what you’ve achieved so far and what goals you want to reach going forwards.

With that in mind, read on to discover three ways you can prepare for 2023.

Develop New Products

“It’s only once you’ve stepped out of your comfort zone that you begin to change, grow and transform.”

Once, the thought of your becoming a cosmetic creator was out of your comfort zone, but look at you now! Right now, it might be scary to even think about developing new products, but expanding your catalogue is a great way to entice new customers.

Our “Make Your Own” kits are a great way to dip your toe in to see if there’s another assessment you would like to try. Soap sponges are linked to our melt-and-pour assessments while the jelly soap and body butter kits are linked to our assessments with the same names.

If you ever have any questions or would like some advice on what to try next, we’re more than happy to help!

Set Sales Goals

If one of your main goals is to increase the revenue of your business, you need to have this at the forefront of your mind at all times. This will allow you to keep your efforts focused going forwards.

For example, you could give yourself sales goals per month, per quarter and annually. Make a note of these so that you can keep track of where you’re at. If you’re ahead then you can celebrate! And if you’re behind, you know to promote your products more and potentially create some promotions.

Create a Business Plan

This sounds a lot more intense than it really is, so bear with us!

Start by writing down the goals for your business. Do you want to make £500 a month? Open your own store? Develop a customer loyalty program?

Work backwards from these and cut them down into achievable chunks. Then you know that with each step, you are working towards your end goal. Make sure to give yourself a timeline so that you can continually propel your business forward!

Natwest has a great program for building your own business plan, find it here.
