Our Advice for Starting Out as a Soakie

If you’re thinking about joining us, here’s our best advice

We always like to make the welcome process as easy as possible for people who want to join our community, which is why we want to answer any questions you might have about us before becoming a customer.

Keep reading to discover our best advice for becoming a cosmetic creator with us.

Choose Products You Like

When deciding which assessment you should purchase first, think about what products you like to use yourself.

This will ensure that you are able to judge your creations with the mindset of a customer as you’ll know what to look for. You will be able to honestly decide if the colours are to your liking, if the fragrance is strong enough and if the consistency is how it should be.

Join Our Facebook Support Group

Our Facebook Support Group is home to almost 4,000 cosmetic creators who use Soak Rochford to create their bath and body products in one way or another. The Soak team and our customers regularly post in the group, sharing tips, promoting destashes, hosting competitions and much more!

Speak to Other Soakies

Once you’ve found yourself in our Facebook Support Group, you’ll quickly meet other customers who often share their designs, tips and recommendations.

Many of our members who are active in the group will be more than happy to give you their own advice whether this is about your creative process, tools to use or how to promote your wares. Don’t be scared to reach out to any one of us for help!

Gather Design Inspiration

Instagram, Pinterest, Etsy… Whichever platform you like to draw inspiration from, spend some time on it researching products that you would like to create. This will help you to decide on what styles you like most whether it be neons, pastels, swirls, embeds, stripes or anything else.

Then, when it comes to creating your first batch of products, you’ll know where to start.

Set Up Your Social Media

Even if you’re not quite ready to sell your products, creating a social media following will allow potential customers to follow along on your journey, therefore creating a loyalty and emotional connection. We all love to see the faces behind a business!

Showcase your creative process, your packaging, your product range and everything in between. Even if it sounds intimidating at first, it will soon become second nature.
