Our Top Tips for Being a Creator During the Festive Period

The lead-up to Christmas can be the busiest time of year for us, so much so that it’s easy to forget about what the holidays are all about.
With this in mind, we have compiled our top tips for cosmetic creators during the festive season.

Remember to Take a Break

One of the most common reasons for starting a business is to have more time, however, more often than not, you actually end up working more. But that doesn’t mean you aren’t allowed a break! Your business won’t implode without your attention for a few days.

Don’t Put Too Much Pressure on Yourself

Comparison is the thief of joy! Don’t look at what other people are doing and think you should be doing the same as you never know what goes on behind the scenes. They might have someone to help them, they might be getting ahead before going on holiday or they might not celebrate Christmas. 

Remember a Work/Life Balance

If you have too much to do or would feel guilty about being completely hands-off from your business, at the very least you should remember to have a sufficient work/life balance. For example, if you can’t avoid working on Christmas Eve, try and get all of your jobs done in the morning so that you can spend time with your family – after all, making memories with people you love is what this time of year is all about!

Remain Organised

To give yourself some peace of mind, write a list of everything you need to remember to do when you go back to work full-time if you are taking some time off. This will ensure that nothing will play on your mind while you’re trying to enjoy yourself! Let your social media following know that you’ll be unavailable on certain days, set a reminder to buy stock in the New Year etc.
