How to make the most of our latest feature: ScentzSample™

At Soak we are always looking for new ways to improve our service and are proud to announce that we are the first in the industry to offer a solution to a problem that every maker has! If you have ever bought a fragrance oil which sounds amazing but then opened it to be disappointed that it smells nothing like you would expect it to, then you will know exactly what we mean!

Introducting The Soak Rochford ScentzSample™ system:

ScentzSample™ is our latest innovation which enables our customers to try before they buy!

When is it avaliable?

ScentzSample™ is already active for the fragrances in ranges 1 and 2. We predict that all of our products will be live in this feature by the end of April 2023.

Which devices are compatible?

At the moment this is only available on apple devices running ios version 16 (11.1.2). It works on iPhones, iPads, mac books (pro version only) and iWatches too! We continue to work with Huawei and Samsung too and aim to see this live by winter 2023.

How does it work?

In August 2021, we approached a German food/drink manufacturer who developed a similar system throughout covid whilst they prepared for Brexit. With their technology, they successfully created a system which allowed their team to sample actual flavours of products without having to travel.

Their system was loosely based on the principle in which a thumbprint interacts with a mobile device. They created a tablet like device which the user could press their tongue onto and small micro electrodes would stimulate tastebuds within the tongue to replicate the flavours that they were trying to portray. We have been working with them to launch a similar technology in which scents could be perceived.

How do i try it?

Simply head over to the listing of the item that you would like to try it out on, and click on the product image itself. Once the product image is opened full screen you should hear a slight buzzing/humming sound from the speaker. The sound generated is similar to that of the noise an iWatch makes when it is trying to expel water from the speaker. Put your nose near your speaker and smell the air it is generating. Its as simple as that! Try it out here

How strong is the scent?

The smell is subtle, and lasts 3-5 seconds. It wont be enough to fill a room or replace an air freshener but is perfect for giving you an idea of what the product smells like before you buy it! Shop Fragrances
